It is with profound sorrow that the Vidyamandir Parivar announces the passing of our esteemed former Chairman and Trustee, Shri Ashwinbhai Mafatlal Mehta, on 7th July, 2025.
Shri Ashwinbhai served as a trustee of the Vidyamandir Trust for over 37 years, including a tenure as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. His steadfast dedication, visionary leadership, and generous spirit were instrumental in shaping the journey and growth of Vidyamandir. His legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of our institution.
A torchbearer of the values laid down by Shri Mafatkaka, one of the founding trustees of Vidyamandir Trust, Shri Ashwinbhai carried forward the family’s commitment to inclusive education. Alongside his family, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Maa Shravanvani School for the Hearing & Speech Divyang, and also supported the creation of the Smt. Kamlaben Mafatlal Mehta Computer Centre. These institutions continue to serve as beacons of empowerment and opportunity for students in our community.
The Vidyamandir Parivar grieves this immense loss and extends its heartfelt condolences to the Mehta family. Shri Ashwinbhai’s contributions, both in thought and action, will always be remembered with deep respect and gratitude.
